Learning to knit!

I have had a blast learning to knit. I love having something to do while hanging out with Ez or sitting at the library. My hand it starting to hurt and cramp a bit but that might be because every chance I get I pick up my kneedles and go to town on the blanket i'm making. It's turning out to be beautiful and rather large. I had no idea when I cast on 100 stiches that the blanket would be 40 something inches in length lol. It's going to be for Kyle and Crystal's new baby, Kiersten...who we are anxiously awaiting to join us in June.

I really hope making things is something I can start doing for all holidays. I know your parents say that all they want for there birthday(or whatever it is your celebrating) is something you made and now I understand the true meaning of that. I want my family to have something that I made especially for them and something like this blanket holds meaning for me because it's something that can be around for a very long time, hopefully something she can give to one of her children.

First Blog

I've never blogged before but I wanted to have a way for our family and friends to see how we are doing and what we are up to. I will try to post pictures with each new entry, i'll have to see how easy that is within the next couple of days. I am excited to give this a try and I hope that this will make it easier for everyone to keep up with us.
